Hello, Sketchbook.

It's been a while since I last drew in a sketchbook, so I bought myself a new one and decided to have a fun drawing jam last night. Just playing with shapes and different styles. Huzzah!

More Props and Heads

Here are several studies of props you may find at a construction site and shape exploration using a cube as a base. I also threw in a few heads I doodled for funsies.

Some Sweet, Sweet Candy!

Here are a couple of characters for my thesis project. The first brother you have to rescue who later becomes a supporting character in the final boss fight and the gingerbread witch who may be made of sweets but look out for her fiery hot temper!

PROPS! PROPS! PROPS GALORE!

In the past couple of weeks I have been drawing many, many various props. Here are the better picks of the bunch. Each were around 9-15 minutes, give or take. I have to say, I really do enjoy drawing guns!

Long Time No See

Ah, I know it's been a long while... Here's a quick little something I drew when I took a break from homework. I'm planning to post a few more pictures I drew last semester soon, so stick around!

C-C-C-Creatures!

Here are a couple of creature designs I was experimenting with. I'm mostly happy with how it turned out. These creatures started out as the same silhouette and I just kept exploring different shapes and poses until I found something I somewhat liked. There were actually two other creatures, but I ended up scrapping them. I've also included a few progress drawings of how I got to the final.

Bawk Bawk 2

Here's the final piece of the chicken mount and the pumpkin. I decided to stray away from the typical Cinderella pumpkin carriage and went for a copter instead. Still unsure if the top two leaves flap or actually spin, but seeing as it's magical, my instructor said it's not too farfetched if it functioned like a helicopter.

As for the chicken, I had a lot of fun painting the elemental ones. I want to do more, like desert, plant, and stone, but I'll have to wait til later. Maybe play with different saddles to fit each element.

Later in the next few days I'll post again with ABC Island updates and some creature designs for another class. Also, sometime in the near future, hopefully I can get my website up and running again. Until then, stay tuned!
